Greetings,

 

Here is a little about me as we begin our journey together as a church.

 

I grew up in Ruston, La. and, as the son of a music minister, was raised in the Methodist Church. This means that church, for me, was just another part of the normal rhythm of life, so I never gave much serious thought to my faith (God would sure fix that!). I went on to pursue a variety of career interest across the country until that faithful day God opened my eyes to the calling He was placing on my life. It was at that moment God not only called me into pastoral ministry, but He also instilled within me a passion for discipleship, missions, and evangelism. From 2011-2016, I served as a missionary to the Khmer people of Cambodia where I met my wife, Lida. We now have three wonderful children. 

 

I graduated from Louisiana Tech University with a degree in Psychology and a minor in English and went on to earn my M.Div. with an emphasis in Wesleyan Studies from Saint Paul School of Theology in Leawood, Ks. St. Paul’s emphasis on ministry in the local church was a valuable addition to learning how to apply my seminary education in practical ways. Throughout the course of completing these academic endeavors, I also served as a youth minister and was licensed and appointed as a Local Pastor in Missouri. Finally, as an Ordained Elder in the Global Methodist Church, I served as the Associate Pastor at Trinity Methodist Church in Ruston.

 

My family and I are delighted that we have been given the opportunity to serve the wonderful people of Covenant Global Methodist Church. I look forward to getting to know you all and exploring the wonderful things God has planned for our church and community.
