GROWING TOGETHER

Our youth ministry is made up of students from grades 6 through 12. We seek to encourage the growth of young disciples in our church and our community. We do this by learning scripture, serving others, and sharing Christ with the world all while having fun.

Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity.

Our youth group meets in the Holley Building, which is located between both worship spaces. The youth room is located at the end of the hall, in room 6, and can be accessed by the rear parking lot and entryway.

SUNDAY SCHOOL

10:00 AM Sunday Morning

Here, we study the Bible, explore the history and theology of the Christian faith, and learn what it means to live as disciples of Jesus. Students learn to study Scripture for themselves, including exploring the Greek and Hebrew behind the text, while working through our catechism and the doctrine of the Church. There is plenty of room for questions, honest conversation, and thoughtful discussion as we grow in our understanding of what we believe and why we believe it.

Youth is where faith comes to life. Each week, students gather for worship, Bible study, small groups, and meaningful fellowship as we grow together as followers of Jesus. Our three-year journey through the New Testament gives students a strong foundation in Scripture, while catechism, memory verses, and conversation help them understand and live out the Christian faith. Through missions, service, and opportunities to put their faith into action, we challenge students not only to know what they believe, but to follow Christ and make disciples wherever God has called them.

Tanner grew up in the small town of Amite, LA where he grew in faith through the dedication and passion of the youth director of his local Methodist church. After years of going on missions, leading worship, and growing in discipleship, his commitment to following Christ has led him to Covenant.
